Why are you watching the Superbowl?

The kick off is almost upon us. Millions of people around the world are watching the Superbowl. I really don't care who wins. I will probably do something crafty or possibly cook my husband dinner before he gets home from work. The announcers keep telling me how millions will be watching. Now my question is this to the women who are watching. Are you watching because you have a true love of the game? Are you wtching because it was a good reason you could get the husband out to meet with friends? You are maybe watching to see the new commercials (that's me). Or perhaps, you are not watching at all.
I used to be a diehard football fan, but in the last few years I have become a Nascar fanatic. My super bowl is next Sunday-the Daytona 500!
If I get 20 post on this before the game ends, I will send someone some happy mail. I will offer one of the new spring Fiskars limited edition punches.

I guess I'm post #1! The link on Fiskateers is incorrect, so I might just be the first to decipher the address. :) I'll go back to the Fiskateer message board and post the real address...after all, we'll never get to 20 if no one else can find us here! :)
Happy Scrapping!

I'm running back & forth from the living room to my craft room. I'm listening to the game in my craft room but running out to watch the commercials.

I must admit that I am NOT a sports fan. If I had to chose a sport it would be racing. I love the thrill & noise of it all. I'll probably be watching tv & coloring images again.

I am trying to reorganize my scrap area, it seemed like a good idea this morning but 6 hours later, I am still at it! Sandy Aspromised Fiskateer #514

LOL, what a fun topic. I am watching because I have no choice. My husband watches football all of the time. Of course the commercials aren't that bad. Was hoping to scrap a little during the game but instead I am helping my 10 year old with her math project that the teacher is mistakenly calling a scrapbook. Men.

I like football. My husband and son LOVE football. Daughter likes it. So.. it's a must in this house. And our family loves commercials any time !

Maxine..we love NASCAR too ! And I cannot wait for the Daytona 500...we watched the Bud Shootout last night...let's go RACIN !

Thankfully, this computer and tv are in the same room !

I'm watching the commercials since my teams were knocked out during the playoffs. I'm working on my one-photo-a-day layouts while the game is on.

I am watching the game with my son while the dh is at a superbowl party across the street. When half time hits I'm going to go up and grab a project to work on down here while the rest of the game (commercials) go on. I like football, all sports really but since none of our teams are in this one, we're cheering for the Saints since they never won a Super Bowl

Sounds like superbowl is like our AFL grand final and Melbourne Cup over here Maxine. I think they are televising it on satellite but sad to say have never watched. We get to see some of the ads on our news, so will be hanging out to see them tonight :o) In the meantime I hope to get some scrapping done this afternoon....
Thanks for the chance to win!!!

I'm like Tona, I running from my bedroom where I have a lot of crafting stuff, to the living room where I have another table set up! I finished my second page of my layout Like Mother Like Daughter, and did 17 Valentine toppers while watching the game!

I can't say that I am watching it...but I have noticed the updates on the headlines. It will be interesting to hear the reaction to Tim Tebow's commercial - I don't get it - People fuss that athletes lie, use drugs and cheat in various ways...but if one wants to voice an opinion of genuine conviction it becomes an issue. Which would you rather your kids follow ---even if one doesn't agree with this particular issue...it doesn't harm the kids to hear it. Sorry, I hope I haven't stepped on any toes. Enjoy your game ! Hope your team wins !

I have not had to watch ANY of it!! I'm so glad. I've had the afternoon to myself (and the ferrets). I've surfed the net, watched Nanny McPhee, went to church tonight and now am thinking about which pics I wanna scrap for a quick page.

nope -- i don't like football!!! i'm a hockey fan (in true canadian fashion!) LOL i'm busy in my scraproom working on cards -- not even interested in who's playing...and who's winning!!! :p

Thanks for sharing Maxine!

I'd rather do some cardmaking than watch football...I'm satisfied if I hear the score when the game is over.

I'm just catching the commercials to see if they're worth watching. Only found 2 or 3 so far worthy of any merit. Some of them are so bad that I can't believe any company would pour so much money into them. I'd rather be scrapping! Thanks Maxine!

Love the Saints! Love football. Born in Louisiana. Waiting for my new Who Dat shirt to be sent. You can't imagine how the whole state went crazy, it's wild around Mardi Gras time, but the super bowl win made it bigger this year. Geaux Saints!!
