3 generations of dolls.

I did a layout this weekend that I absolutely love. I love the paper, but most of all I love the subject matter. The paper is Graphic 45. I cut the tree, teapot, girl and dollhouse from one paper and attached to the other. I have my mom's doll. My mom was killed in a 1970 car accident. My grandmother still had her bisque doll and gave it to me. When I was a kid, we were probably poor, but I didn't know it because everyone around us probably was too. All of our dads worked at Carbide and so all the kids had about the same. I really wanted a REAL barbie. ( thankfully, I have gotten over that obsession). I got a doll that my mom made homemade clothes for. she has a homemade Pollyanna outfit. My daughter's doll is a Cabbage Patch. She had several, but I like this one because it has a sleeper on that she wore as a child.

Leave a comment about your favorite toy and someone will randomly be picked for some happy mail.

This weekend I did a lot of cropping on the Fiskateer online crop. Had a blast!! Did a layout about our favorite cookies. So, I HAD to make them.

Hope your Christmas season is going well!!!

Wonderful layout! My mom gave me her childhood doll which is currently enshrined in my dining room. My favorite doll was Chatty Cathy (looks like there are several Cathy lovers here). But my favorite toy was my Brownie camera.

My favorite toys growing up were my cabbage patch kid dolls. Those were the ones I played with the most. I even had a little crib and high chair and all the little baby stuff to go with them.

Well, I do not remember even one childhood toy to be honest. So I wont lie. But I do remember one PILLOW and I wish I had it...it was a big fat walrus face...I swear ONLY a mother could love. I look back now and its the ugliest thing with a huge furry mustache but I loved it and to me it was beautiful!

Maxine did you ever get the real Barbie? I got the real Ken who had a moustache and beard that came off and on. It was my all-time favorite toy. I wish I had it today.

My favorite toy was a dress up doll I had for which I made clothes for. My mom sewed and I'd pick scraps and stich together clothing for my dolly.

What a treasure to have your mom's doll. My dad passed away in 1972 (I was 11 at the time) and I have his Cash Register bank that I treasure. I love how you showcased these treasures in your layout. Great job!

My favorite childhood toy was Penny the Poodle a walking dog by Marx. I also have a stuffed poodle pajama bag that my maternal Grandfather gave me when I was 3. I slept with him every night & couldn't sleep without him until I was about 12. I still have him today.

These dolls are wonderful. I can't remember an all time favorite toy, but it could very well have been the huge Maple tree I spent so much time in.

My favorite childhood toy---well actually I have 2 favorite toys, was my bendable legs Barbie and a big baby doll I received when my little sister Kathleen was born. I had the Barbie doll until I was 17 and then we moved across the US and she got lost. I still have the big baby doll! I now have 5 Barbie dolls and my DH catches me playing house with them every now and again! Love to make clothes for each one of them!! LOL

Happy Holidays!
