Feeding Our Communities

The fiskateer food drive is still in progress. Several crops and stores are collecting food and several of us will be at drop off areas on June 13th. If you have collected food for the drive or even the postal drive leave a comment here and after 50 comments I will choose a random winner and continue on until June 13th when a winner will win a large rak.
Help your communities fill their food banks. Let us know that fiskateers care.

Maxine, you are so sweet and so very thoughtful!

yes, we donated to the USPS food drive and to our local food bank as well. Plus, our schools always have regular food drives too.

My church takes donations of cereal to Manna Meal which feeds hundreds of people everyday- breakfast and lunch. I've been putting cereal in the basket lately, also did the post office thing. I need to do more- we are blessed to have enough.

Our Second grade classroom is doing a food collection for kids to donate. We collected food together and donated. I was alert to what I can do because of your reminders. Thanks for helping me see what opportunities there are for me to help.

HiMaxine...I posted at fiskateers as well...we need to get the word out ...I do the Postal Carriers collection annually as well as our local scout troop in our sub twice a year..they just picked up 3 bags of canned and boxed items a week ago from my house. Now we are busy collecting food for our church bank to feed the homeless we house in the summer for a week...This is an ongoing thing in our lives...I have no kids at my house right now as they are in college, but I still buy too much food for 2 peeps! Perhaps it is cuz I know I can donate it! Ty for speaking up! xoxo Cher 5859

I dropped off 2 bags to my post office during their drive, & dropped off some freash rhubarb from the garden a week ago, & then a couple of days ago I dropped off another bag with the typical non-perishables as well as baby wipes, toothbrushed & dental floss, & more fresh rhubarb.
You are so great to be doing all that you do to encourage people to donate.

Hey Maxine, where in the world are you? Did you go away and I missed it? Well any way, been thinking about you and just wondered what's up.
