I just finished doing a layout with my grandparents. I am trying to go back and do some heritage pages. Many people believe that they should be done on dark papers. I think the black and whites look good on pastel and rich colors. We would have family reunions each year at my great grandparents, who lived in a wooden log house ( no running water or inside plumbing). We still loved it. All the families would gather and make tables out of sawhorses and wood. It would last all day. Those were the good old days (probably 1950's). That's me peeking out beside my mama on page 1.

You are too funny Maxine, did you really intend to say the 1050's? I also agreed that heritage photos can be done on any paper. Love your LOs!
Oh, Mardi - you know that when you are old enough to be in the vintage picture that the typing can sometimes not be up to par. It is 1950, but glad you got a laugh!
